eCom Brands.

Objective

Centralise the reporting for more than 20 different eCommerce Brand.

Obstacle

Creating like-for-like reporting across different businesses.

Outcome

Heroes can quickly integrate data from new brands without disruption.

Background

Heroes, a technology-driven company focused on acquiring and scaling Amazon e-commerce businesses, struggled with managing performance across multiple brands due to fragmented and time-consuming reporting processes. With separate data for each brand, it became difficult to quickly access key metrics and make informed decisions. The company needed a centralised analytics platform to streamline operations, automate reporting, and provide actionable insights for efficient growth and better decision-making.

Challenges

Tracking 20+ Brands: With a growing portfolio of over 20 e-commerce brands, Heroes faced the complex challenge of overseeing each business’s performance individually. Each brand operated with its own set of metrics, data systems, and performance indicators, making it difficult to consolidate and analyse information at a high level.

Manual Reporting: Heroes’ reporting system relied heavily on manual processes, which made it difficult to keep up with the growing volume of data. Generating reports for each brand was time-consuming and resource-intensive, requiring a significant amount of effort from the team to compile, analyze, and present data.

Bespoke Solution: Off-the-shelf analytics solutions were not designed to meet the specific needs of Heroes’ fast-growing, multi-brand portfolio. The company’s operations demanded a platform that could scale seamlessly as new brands were acquired and customised to address the unique data requirements of each business.

Solution

One Source Of Truth: To meet Heroes’ needs, we designed and implemented a bespoke data stack that centralised data from all brands into a single platform, providing a streamlined and efficient approach to managing performance. The solution addressed the challenges of fragmented data and manual reporting, allowing Heroes to gain more control over its growing portfolio of e-commerce brands. Key components of the solution included

Scalable Architecture: One of the core features of the data stack was its scalable architecture, which was designed to effortlessly accommodate both existing brands and newly acquired businesses. As Heroes continued to expand its portfolio, the platform could quickly integrate data from new brands without disruption, ensuring that the company could maintain consistent and efficient operations across all entities.

Implementation

Granular Product Data: The bespoke data stack integrated granular, product-level data from each brand, allowing Heroes to gain a deeper understanding of sales trends, customer preferences, and inventory performance. By drilling down into product-level details, Heroes could identify opportunities for optimisation, such as adjusting pricing, enhancing marketing strategies, or improving supply chain management. These insights empowered the team to make data-driven decisions that directly impacted profitability and growth, enabling more precise targeting and resource allocation.

Automation: By automating key analytics workflows, we eliminated the need for manual reporting processes that were time-consuming and error-prone. Automation helped Heroes generate reports on brand performance, profit & loss, and other critical metrics.
